President Dr. Mokgweetsi Masisi has praised the Algerian Ambassador to Botswana for his significant contributions to strengthening the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
During a courtesy call by Mr. Mourad Adjabi before his departure to Paris, France, yesterday, President Masisi emphasized that Botswana places great importance on its diplomatic relations with many countries, which are often based on shared values.
Botswana will always be grateful for the strong bilateral bonds it shares with other nations and remains committed to nurturing these relationships, President Masisi said.
He further noted that Botswana is eager to enhance multilateral relations with strategic partners and expand existing areas of cooperation. President Masisi also admired Algeria's efforts in pharmaceutical production, an area Botswana is keen to explore.
Mr. Adjabi expressed his gratitude to Botswana for its hospitality and support during his tenure, referring to Botswana as his second home due to the warm reception and stability in the country, which made him feel at home. He also wished Botswana peace and stability in the upcoming general elections.
